With Nyhart since 2011, Ashley is responsible for organizational development, talent acquisition, performance management, policy recommendation, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and all functions that deal with the needs and activities of Nyhart's employees.

Prior to joining Nyhart, she worked with large, highly regulated organizations. She has been essential in employee relations, benefits administration, developing employee programs and policies, wellness initiatives and other HR related functions.

Pension Actuarial Consultant

Chicago, IL

We are looking for a Pension Actuarial Consultant to serve our existing client base by providing annual valuations, consulting on special projects, and managing workflow. This is a unique opportunity to work with both private and public sector clients and help grow our business.

Retirement Plan / Compliance Administrator

Indianapolis, Houston, or San Diego

The Compliance Administrator assists various clients with the administration of defined contribution plans. Based in Indianapolis, Kansas City, or San Diego, this position will provide an opportunity for development and growth.


  • Assist in the administration of defined contribution plans, including calculations, testing and reporting
  • Communicate and provide support to participants and clients regarding plan operations, policy and compliance
  • Provide design and other suggestions to reduce costs and optimize plan benefit
  • Provide superior customer service, including problem solving with minimal inconvenience to clients
  • Assists the client with all initial and ongoing plan design and document support
  • Assists the clients in meeting all IRS and Department of Labor deadlines necessary for qualified retirement plan
  • Maintains up-to date knowledge of present legislation and proposed legislative changes with regard to ERISA law through self-study and company-sponsored training sessions
  • Responsible for all aspects of valuation reports, participant statements and annual testing
  • Reviews or performs, as needed, the annual testing for plans, including ADP/ACP, Top Heavy, 410(b), 415, 401(a)(4),deductibility, and 402(g)
  • Reviews distribution paperwork
  • Reviews loan paperwork
  • Reviews or prepares Form 5500 and coordinates with plan sponsor to help ensure timely filing
  • Assists auditors if a plan is subject to an audit

  • Bachelors degree

Sr. Defined Benefit Plan Administrator

Indianapolis, IN

Our Pension Administration Solutions group is looking for an operations team lead to ensure excellent client service and process optimization, across a large book of clients. You will enable the growth of individual team members while elevating yourself and the overall team. Using your experience and knowledge, you will identify areas of improvement, implement those improvements and allow for efficient growth in a fast-growing business unit. You should naturally take ownership of projects and tasks and follow through with accuracy and efficiency.


  • Ability to become an expert on proprietary and 3rd party software programs
  • Benefit calculation review, including coding and testing the software related to those calculations
  • Interpret pension plan documents along with general retirement plan regulations
  • Manage and lead special projects such as plan terminations, lump sum windows, and plan freezes, especially with regard to software-related components
  • Identify areas of potential improvements and enable team to successfully implement such improvements
  • Develop team members to facilitate overall team and company growth
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including actuarial, programming and non-pension business units

System Administrator

We are looking for a System Administrator to ensure excellent monitoring, testing, updating and maintenance of Nyhart’s network.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues, requests and user support tickets
  • Install, configure and maintain the company’s desktops and endpoint devices, operating systems and business applications
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment to meet IT project and business needs
  • Install, test, integrate, document and support network hardware and systems
  • Monitor and maintain third-party applications and business processes
  • Monitor and maintain network performance for all locations to meet required service levels
  • Assist in developing and maintaining user accounts and enforce network policies and procedures

  • Professional level knowledge of common network protocols utilized on corporate networks.
  • Professional level knowledge and three years or more experience with at least one of the following technologies: Networking infrastructure products (routers, switches, wireless), Windows Operating Systems, Security infrastructure products (firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, content filtering). Solid grounding in core enterprise applications.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of network, PC and platform operating systems.
