With Nyhart since 2011, Ashley is responsible for organizational development, talent acquisition, performance management, policy recommendation, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and all functions that deal with the needs and activities of Nyhart's employees.

Prior to joining Nyhart, she worked with large, highly regulated organizations. She has been essential in employee relations, benefits administration, developing employee programs and policies, wellness initiatives and other HR related functions.

Defined Benefit Plan Administrator

Indianapolis, IN

Our Pension Administration Solutions group is looking for an administrator to provide excellent client service and process optimization across a large book of clients.

Job responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide pension administration and guidance to clients
  • Prepare benefit calculations, data updates, and assist with valuations
  • Interpret pension plan documents along with general retirement plan regulations
  • Assist with special projects such as plan terminations, lump sum windows, and plan freezes, especially with regard to software-related components
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including actuarial, programming and non-pension business units

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficiency with Windows-based operating systems and the Microsoft Office Suite of products
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working with defined benefit software preferred
  • Experience with defined benefit administration preferred

Healthcare Actuary

Indianapolis, IN

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare or Pension Actuary interested in growing into Healthcare Actuarial Consultant role. This positon will allow the opportunity to expand your technical knowledge and industry expertise, consult with clients, and have the exam support needed to successfully achieve your FSA designations.

The Healthcare Actuary will play an important role in the overall service we provide to clients.

  • Complete actuarial valuation work as prescribed under GASB 74/75, ASC 765-10, and ASC 965-10
  • Calculate expected Incurred but Not Reported (IBNR) reserves and project health plan premium rates for self-insured groups
  • Perform and analyze calculations for special healthcare modeling projects
  • Communicate with client contacts on day-to-day tasks, data gathering, and delivery of results

The Actuary will also be instrumental in the growth and development of Actuarial Analysts.

  • Serve as technical expert and promote sound actuarial practices
  • Provide direction and training, including project management and work evaluation
  • Encourage a collaborate team environment that values knowledge and idea sharing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field
  • ASA designation required, pursuing FSA
  • 5+ years of actuarial experience in OPEB or Pension
  • Working knowledge of actuarial valuation software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills

Nyhart Campus Recruiting - Healthcare Actuarial Analyst

San Diego, CA

As part of our Healthcare team, you will partner with our Actuarial Consultants to help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to expand your technical knowledge and industry expertise by providing actuarial analysis on various projects, including:

  • Complete actuarial valuation work as prescribed under GASB 74/75, ASC 765-10, and ASC 965-10
