Bringing 25 years of experience in the employee benefit industry, Karen Schneider is a senior consultant specializing in 401(k) and defined contribution plans. Karen leads the day to day operations of Nyhart’s Balance Forward division, assisting with Balance Forward plan conversions.
When plans shift to Nyhart from another third-party administrator, Karen and her team collaborate with brokers and retirement plan owners to execute a smooth transition to the new plan. Karen’s experience with the Balance Forward Division is extensive, working with companies as small as one person to up to 500 participants. Her experience with plans from a variety of industries makes her a trusted resource when determining the best course of action for client plans. Third-party administrators appreciate her experience as both an administrator and consultant in resolving complex or delicate issues that can arise in 401(k) administration.
Before Karen arrived at Nyhart, she worked as a plan administrator for Sheridan and Associates, which Nyhart acquired in 2003. Following a short stent at another firm administering 401(k) accounts, she returned Nyhart as a consultant in 2007.
Karen has been married for 26 years, has three grown children, and has taken up running.
