A 21 year veteran of the pension actuarial field, John Cierzniak consults to corporations and sole-proprietors on actuarial valuations, pension funding, IRS reporting, and benefit calculations for Nyhart’s defined benefit clients.
A University of Notre Dame graduate, John started his career at national employee benefits firm Kwasha Lipton in New Jersey. Later career opportunities included CPA firm Crowe Chizek, employee benefits firm Niles Lankford Group, Teacher’s Retirement System of Illinois and San Diego Pension Consultants. He joined Nyhart in 2004.
John’s experience inside actuarial consulting firms and working as an investment analyst for one of the largest public funds in the country gives him a practical, thorough understanding of actuarial and investment issues affecting defined benefit plans. Clients regularly rely on his actuarial experience with pension plans to guide their funding decisions.
In his spare time, John is a serious golfer and stays abreast of the financial markets.
